Why the Sun and Moon Shine (2022)

As a part of Pathways NI, I wrote and illustrated a short story named “Why the Sun and Moon Shine”. It follows two stars, Solas and Luna, as they navigate the joys and struggles of their secret relationship in an unaccepting home and search for a welcoming home. This story was written about the highs and lows of the queer experience and aims to help younger LGBTQIA+ readers feel seen.

The spot illustrations aim to build a picture of the magical environment Solas and Luna live in and provide visuals of otherworldly queer joy.
